What is the History of Beer in America?

Boston was more than the birthplace of the American Revolution. It also was a prominent beer brewing location. Throughout the 1800s, immigrant families coming from Europe to America brought beer brewing knowledge with them. Before Prohibition in the 1920s, there were thousands of brewers of beer in this country. The beers they produced were the heavier beers.
