If you’re in the market for a good, well-balanced hunting rifle, you’ll likely already be aware of the fact that there’s a lot of choices out there. That said, there are some that call for a second look, such is their quality. One model that absolutely fits into that category is the CV Cascade 350 Legend.

Of course, you could just take our word for it, but if you need a little convincing to part with your cash for one, let us fill you in.

A Great Fitting Rifle – For All Users

The first consideration for many is how it fits into the shoulder and with the CV Cascade 350 Legend, there are no worries in this department. With a 1-inch spacer, this rifle has a length of around 13 ⅞, meaning that it’s going to suit pretty much every adult out there.

It also has a nice adjustable length of pull, so it’s not something that you’re going to outgrow. It’s not too shabby in terms of weight either, particularly as the bare rifle comes in at a little under 7 lbs. Even fully loaded up with all your accessories – including scope – you’re still only looking at a touch over 8.5.

Sure, it’s not the lightest rifle on the market, but it’s really well balanced and when you’re out on a long day’s hunting, it’s light enough to make things easier.

Top Shooting Performance – ‘MOA’ Guarantee

Another major sign that the CVA Cascade 350 Legend is very much worth a look, is its performance level and the fact the manufacturer offers a ‘Minute of Angle’ (MOA) guarantee. For those of you who aren’t familiar with MOA, it means they guarantee a 1-inch grouping over 100 yards, a 2-inch grouping over 200 yards, a 3-inch grouping over 300 yards…and so on.

From our experience, this only really applies when using good quality ammo. We used a cheap 308 round and the grouping wasn’t great, but as soon as we moved up in quality, those rounds were nice and tight in line with the guarantee – even up to 1,000 yards!

A Really Nice Feel to the Stock

Moving now to how the rifle feels in the hand and thanks to its reinforced fiberglass stock, it sits lovely – especially due to the soft-touch finish. This small detail has a big impact, as it means the rifle doesn’t feel overly cold during the winter and you get a great grip during wet weather.

The rifle also has an adjustable trigger – one that’s set at 3lbs out of the box – which we set at just over 2 ½ lbs for a nice, smooth shot. This is a lovely feature to have right out of the box.

Any Negatives to Shout About?

Also, the Bergara ‘free floating’ barrel offers superb accuracy and is super durable due to its weatherproof coating. There’s not much to say negatively about this rifle.

If we had to be picky, it would be nice if there was an option to raise the cheekpiece slightly for shorter people and petite women to allow them to get a good view through the scope. This is a minor detail, particularly as this gun isn’t set up for anyone other than male adults.

You’ll Be Proud to Own a CVA Cascade 350 Legend

Quality is quality and whichever way you slice it, this is a great rifle at a nice price point. It’s well equipped straight out of the factory and offers a wealth of customization possibilities. You really don’t have to be a gun expert to know that this is a great rifle that anyone would be proud to own.
