There are many reasons that people prefer to build their gaming PC rather than buying ready-made. The biggest reason of all is the cost. You can save money in several ways while building your computer on your own. Besides researching and coming up with the best prices, you also need to know the compatibility and suitability of different hardware components which is best for your PC. The current article gives a list of components that you can pick to build your PC as per your need and budget.

Processor

Intel Core i7-9700K is rated as best processor for gaming PC in 2021. You can acquire the component in used but good condition in the range of 260$ to 300$. Although Intel Core i7-9700k is recommended for a  reason, there are some reasonable alternatives too. For instance, you can choose an AMD CPU which will give a multi-core performance to your PC. Another powerful alternative is Ryzen 9 3900X but it is about 80 USD to 100 USD costlier than our first choice 9700K. So if you can make a little more room in your budget then you can go for Ryzen 9 3900X. On the other hand, if you want to save a bit more then there is an option of Ryzen 7 3800X too which is cheaper than the 9700K. However, 9700K has a notable performance edge over Ryzen 3800X.

Refurbished GPU/graphic cards

Multiple options from AMD are ideal for the build we want to come up with. RTX 2070 SUPER, RX 5700 XT, and Radeon VII. The RTX 2070 SUPER and Radeon VII are almost similar in terms of performance but the former is a bit cheaper than the latter. RX 5700 XT is the cheapest of three options but consequently, it is at the lowest on the list when it comes to performance. So, aligning the performance with the budget, we recommend RTX 2070 SUPER over the other two. However, you could drop down to cheaper GPU Radeon VII or RX 5700 XT and can even go for refurbished graphic cards which will not sacrifice the performance much and you will be able to invest some more in other components.

Affordable storage

There are several budget-friendly ways in which you can handle your PC’s storage. A 960 GB SATA SSD is ideal for this built, both budget-wise and performance-wise.  The option will give you good storage at a very reasonable price. You can choose NVME M.2 SSD or a 500GB SSD if you have some room in your budget. But as our first choice comes under your budget and performs well so pair it up with a 1TB

refurbished hard drive to enjoy more storage at a very reasonable price.

The casing to hold all

For casing, there are a plethora of options in design, cost, and performance. We choose Corsair iCUE 220T to hold our components together. The iCUE 220T is recommended for its wide room to hold the components that we are using to build the system. Moreover, it has a grilled panel at the front for ventilation. It comes with a full PSU shroud and 3 preinstalled RGB fans. You can get this casing for under 100 USD to 150 USD which suits your budget well. But, again, you can choose a casing as per your preferred design. Lots of casing brands will fit your budget. The one thing that you need to take care of is that your casing should be sufficient to hold all your components efficiently.

Room to upgrade

The best thing about custom PCs or self-built PCs is that you can upgrade them whenever your budget allows. Although this PC is not going obsolete any time soon, who doesn’t want an upgraded system for all the new upgraded game versions. As you are fully aware of each component that is used to make up your PC, therefore you will best know when and how to upgrade it.

Above mentioned components will build a high-performing PC and that too without burning a big hole in your pocket. Since you are spending a good amount on building your system, you would also want to ensure that you end up with quality peripherals at the cheapest price. You can do that by researching the web and finding a good place that sells refurbished hardware and accessories at a reasonable price. Select multiple stores and compare the prices with specifications. Once you get a hang of it, you will not be only building PCs for your own but others people too. Who knows you find a suitable store with all the items and prices that you require and you become a  You can also wait for the upcoming event such as the 4th of July, boxing day, and thanksgiving when all the online and physical stores are offering great discounts on their products.
