After washing hands in a public place, it becomes necessary to dry them. There is usually an automatic hand dryer near the sink . The convenience of using such equipment lies in the absence of the need to come into contact with surfaces in public places. Drying equipment must meet sanitary and hygienic standards.

TYPES OF HAND DRYERS

There are two types of Hand Dryers:

  • contact, i.e. mechanical (with power button);
  • non-contact, i.e. touch (without power button).

Contact dryers, as noted above, are turned on with a button. The device works for the set time and automatically turns off. In some models, the operating mode lends itself to additional settings. You can set:

  • air temperature;
  • hot stream supply;
  • operating time of the device.

Air heating parameters can be set from +45 to +75 °C. The air flow rate varies between 15-72 l / s, usually set the drying time 25-40 seconds. Hands should be kept at a distance of 20 cm from the device. “Button” dryers are gradually becoming a thing of the past (especially in light of the events associated with Covid-19 – people are trying to minimize contact with surfaces), there are almost no new models. It was replaced by more advanced and innovative – “touch”.

If the dryer is contactless, it is enough to bring wet hands to the working area. A special infrared sensor is triggered, starting the device into operation. The fan starts blowing air in. Under the influence of a heating element (in more budget models), the air warms up and enters a special blow hole through the installed grate. In premium models of dryers, moisture is simply “blown away” from the hands.

As soon as the hands are removed, the device turns off. It is usually enough to hold your palms under a hot stream of air for 10-12 seconds so that they dry completely.

Automation can significantly reduce the load on the engine. The most expensive models of dryers are equipped with the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor.

Classical dryers usually operate at a low speed, and in high-speed models this parameter can reach more than 100 m/s. At the same time, in the first category of devices, moisture from the hands evaporates. In more modern devices, drops flow into a special drip tray.

The hand dryer is capable of blowing hot and cold air. The nozzle can be directed up or down. Depending on the design features of a particular model, during drying, the hands are either brought to the air stream or lowered into the recess.

About Electric hand dryers

What are hand dryers? As a rule, these are electrical devices that operate on a network with a voltage of 220 V, with automatic switching on or mechanical. The main function of an electric dryer is to dry wet hands with a stream of warm air. The air temperature usually ranges from 50 to 69 degrees.

We offer electric hand dryer that meet all the requirements, both hygiene and safety in the use of the device. They are protected from overheating and possible ingress of water (functions – protection against drops of water, including solid bodies).

When comparing standard products in the form of paper towels and electric dryers, the advantage of the latter is immediately noticeable. For paper towels, you must additionally purchase holders, as well as baskets for used towels. In addition, do not forget to purchase new products, replenish and store them in warehouses in a timely manner, and if there are unused towels, then dispose of them. But for an electric dryer, only electricity is needed. In addition, modern technology has begun to be produced in improved quality, which allows you to save on electricity, as there are high-tech motors. On average, the power of dryers is from 1 to 2.6 kW. If such drying is used, then the costs will be much less than using a paper towel by a person. From an economic point of view, an electric dryer is also more profitable.

American scientists managed to prove that the effect of warm air on the hands of each person after washing helps to destroy the bacteria contained on the hands more and better. At the same time, it is this air flow that prevents them from spreading further, which cannot be said about paper towels.

Types of electric hand dryer

By type, two types of dryers can be distinguished: mechanical and automatic.

When switched on automatically, the operation of the dryer starts due to a special photocell built into the interior. Some dryers even have a special sensitivity control. This function becomes necessary in those rooms where there are many metal objects, including mirrors, and therefore its operation can even occur in strong winds (if the window is open).

Push-button activation

Push-button activation is quite convenient, due to the fact that the dryer starts working as soon as you press the button. Shutdown occurs according to the timer in 30-50 seconds. Some dryers have the ability to independently set the required interval.

As for the technical parameters of each dryer, they differ in the power of their fans, the power of air heating, as well as the operation of the fan, its performance.

The average fan power consumption is between 100 and 200 watts. Heating power varies from 1 to 2.6 kW, while the fan capacity is on average 15 to 72 liters per second. It is best to choose dryers in accordance with the design of the toilet, in particular, pay attention to the color of the walls, floor, faucets, accessories. And also do not forget about exactly where this dryer will be used. Let’s say for educational institutions it is better to use a quiet dryer, but for nightclubs or restaurants you can use a high-performance and very strong one so that it cannot be broken.
