Crystal Palace, a Premier League football team, has announced W88 as its primary jersey sponsor for the 2020-21 season.
Previously, W88 sponsored Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018-19 and Aston Villa in 2019-20.
The Villa agreement was touted as “record-breaking” for the club, but in June, it was declared that it had reached its “logical conclusion.” Leicester City is also a official partner of the operator.
Chairman of Crystal Palace Steve Parish stated that the agreement would allow the club and W88 to expand their international presence.
Parish said, “We are thrilled to welcome W88 as a new primary partner and shirt sponsor for the 2020/21 season.” Our worldwide audience continues to expand as the club begins a record eighth consecutive season in the Premier Competition, the most-watched league in the world.
We have the same goal of increasing our international presence, and we look forward to collaborating with the W88 team.”
Hilly Ehrlich, manager of business development for W88, expressed the company’s eagerness to collaborate with the team and its fans.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Crystal Palace, a club with a long and storied heritage in South London,” stated Ehrlich. In addition to working closely with the club’s administration and players, we look forward to engaging with Palace fans in England and throughout the world.
“W88mobi is a brand that is known all over the world and stands for honesty, dependability, and greatness.”
W88mobi operates in the United Kingdom under a partnership with Midnight Gaming Limited. Aston Villa noted the operator’s “strong footprint” on the continent when it announced its sponsorship agreement with the operator.
Also, last month, a study from the UK’s House of Lords outlined a range of measures to reform the gaming regulatory environment in the United Kingdom, including sports sponsorship, which the report deemed “extremely advantageous” and “would not disproportionately hurt Premier League clubs.”
In 2017, Crystal Palace signed a “record-breaking” arrangement with another Asia-facing operator, ManBetX, formerly the club’s sponsor.
