Announced by Governor Newsom and the California Legislature, the state is launching a $ 500 million California small business COVID-19 relief grant program to support small businesses and nonprofits affected by COVID-19 and health and safety restrictions.

Today, the state launched the new CAReliefGrant.com website so you can review eligibility information, prepare your business documents, and prepare to apply!

Applications for the first round will open on Wednesday 30 December 2020 and close at the end of the day on Friday 8 January 2021. The second round will be announced in the near future. Qualifying small businesses and nonprofits can apply during these periods, directly, on CAReliefGrant.com, or with the help of a partner.

One of the state’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Lendistry, helps the state distribute these grants and partner with other CDFIs and small business centers to help you with your application.
