Finding compact appliances and furniture for your accessory dwelling unit can be tough. Especially if you have a JADU, space is a real concern. That is why we have put together a few ADU appliances that you are sure to love for your granny flat.

Workstation Sink

Your kitchen is a busy area in your home. You spend a lot of time there preparing food and need surface area to do so on. If your kitchen is limited on countertop space, you should consider putting in a workstation sink.

These sinks are designed to allow for a cutting board to nestle neatly inside them to extend the countertop space. This neat appliance/gadget is great for any ADU kitchen really.

Murphy Beds

Murphy beds fold up during the day to allow for more floor space during active hours. You can get ones with optional shelvings on the side and even ones that fold up and have a couch available for seating afterward.

These beds often get a bad wrap for being cheap, but if you take the time to research and buy a nice one, they can be quite the space savers without compromising comfort.

Sectional Sleeper Sofa

A great space safer and multi-purpose gadget for your home is a sectional sleeper sofa. This sofa has added storage underneath one section and the ability to fold out into a bed for guests. With its ability to store items, it allows you to buy a bigger sofa than you would if it was just a regular sofa. Plus the fact that it folds into a bed means you can accommodate extra guests or even extra family members to live with you without the need for another bedroom.

Wall Mounted Folding Table

Your ADU probably does not have its own dedicated dining room. Therefore, you probably lack a dining room table. However, like most people, you will still desire a table to eat on or prepare food on. A great way to save space in your ADU while still having a table is by installing a wall-mounted folding table.

This table folds down when you want to use it but then folds back up neatly out of the way when not in use. Thus, saving you lots of walkway space in your kitchen or living room.
